Whilst we are committed to the NHS, we are also aware that the NHS does not meet the needs of all patients. For this reason, we also offer a Dental Plan (approximately £14 per month). This entitles you to two examinations and two hygiene visits per year, as well as a 20% discount off all private and cosmetic treatments.
You will also be treated as a priority should you need to be seen between visits. Signing up for our dental plan also entitles you to dental insurance, which covers you for expensive dental bills whilst elsewhere in the UK or overseas.
The private services that we provide include;
Botox and facial rejuvenation
We are pleased to offer Botox and Facial rejuvenation via West Calder Facial Clinic.
We all know that sunscreens, not smoking, drinking plenty water and using moisturisers are all good for our skin. However, nothing can stop time passing and whether we like it or not, we all grow older and it can show on our faces. If you are interested in making an appointment to see if Botox can reverse these effects for you or if you simply want more information about the service provided, please call Fiona 07864065236.

Invisalign®
Invisalign offers a virtually invisible way to straighten your teeth. Invisalign works by using a series of clear and comfortable aligners that no one will be able to tell you’re wearing. They’re barely visible on your teeth and removable for when you want to eat and brush your teeth.
How does Invisalign work?
Using the innovative Align Technology together with impressions of your teeth, a series of custom-made aligners will be produced for you. These aligners are replaced every one to two weeks by the next set in the sequence thus slowly helping to move your teeth into the desired position.
Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign doesn’t have any metal parts which can rub and irritate the mouth. The aligners are made from a clear, strong medical grade plastic which sits around the teeth.
Benefits of straightening your teeth
- By straightening your teeth you can dramatically improve the attractiveness of your smile and therefore your confidence. This in turn can increase your social and career success!
- Well aligned teeth are also a lot easier to clean, this reduces the risk of cavities forming and gum disease.
- Teeth straightening can also help improve dental function. By aligning the teeth, the forces exerced on them when you chew and talk are balanced, resulting in better long term health of your teeth, gums and jaw.
Why choose Ivisalign?
The Invisalign system is ideal for anyone with a lifestyle that wouldn’t suit traditional metal braces. They’re definitely the treatment to choose if you have a busy social life, a professional role that puts you in the spotlight, or are simply image conscious because they’re almost invisible, and you are able to remove them for eating and cleaning your teeth.
Is everyone suitable for Invisalign?
Designed for the front ‘smiling’ teeth, Invisalign may not be appropriate if you have more extensive orthodontic requirements. If, for example, there are deeper problems concerning bite and function, your dentist may recommend an alternative treatment.
What’s involved in the Invisalign treatment?
If your dentist agrees that you’re suitable for Invisalign, you’ll begin with a free consultation during which you’ll be able to see a 3D time-lapse image of your teeth before, during and after treatment. We’ll take dental impressions, which will be sent to a lab so that your bespoke Invisalign retainers can be crafted. Then you’ll wear the retainers for the prescribed amount of time, returning for reviews once a month until your treatment is complete.
How quickly will I see results?
This of course depends on your individual case, but typical treatment times are around six to nine months. We’ll likely fit a permanent retainer behind your teeth after treatment to maintain the results.
